Consl lets you work with AI, without losing your craft.

Towards the end of 2024, back when Sonnet 3.5 was considered the state-of-the-art, I got fed up with rate limits, quotas, uncontrollable system prompts, and paying for 4 subscriptions just so I could experience what would be considered state-of-the-art. So I decided to build my own console for interacting with any AI model in my own way. This passion project became Consl.

We are currently at the dawn of the Age of Artificial Intelligence. As we all progress through this age I feel it's important to get off the sidelines and get our hands dirty.

You don't have to train your own models to understand how they work, but you do have to use the right tools when working with them. Building up your intuition around these models is, I believe, what will differentiate you from your peers in the years to come.

As we progress through this Age of AI we'll notice that things are starting to change, and so we must change with it. More important than ever before will be our ability to control, steer, and influence these models. Not to replace us, but to enhance us. All of us will have to rediscover our craft. You can do that on your own, or we can do that together.

Consl aims to put you first as you work with AI on your local device or in the browser. Use it as a sparring partner or let it do the work for you. But whatever you do, let it be a tool that helps you build understanding. A tool that helps you hone your craft. A tool that makes you better as we progress through this new age together.

Consl is my way of throwing my hat in the ring. My way of refining my craft. And I sincerely hope it helps you do the same.
